    Want to know how to write a resume? Well you’ve come to the right place! Below you can find Inspire’s resume template, which provides a great resume layout as well as including awesome resume writing tips!

    Remember: While Inspire has provided a resume template below, be sure to tailor the resume to your own skills and previous experience. Also, keep in mind the most common form of resume (as used below) follows a chronological format (listing your most recent education and work experience first).

    How To Write A Resume: Benefits of Chronological Resume Template:

    1. Displays your most recent work, education and achievements first so beneficial for those who have recently completed a training course!
    2. Follows a universal format (so accepted across the world)
    3. Conforms to the standards of online applications (where you need to enter your most recent details first)
    4. Generally, HR managers prefer this standard of resume
    5. The style is easy to read and formatted well

    CAREER OBJECTIVE

    This should spell out in one to two sentences your qualities, expiriences and both short and long term goals.  The objective frames the rest of your resume.

    The interests section is an area to add personality into the resume. Don’t go overboard here and generally just list a few examples.

    Where to include referees in your resume is a personal preference. If you choose to exclude them, at the time of interview ensure you have prepared their details and can pass them onto your potential employer if they ask.

    How To Write A Resume Top Tips:

    1. Be concise, research shows the reader will spend less than 10 seconds reading your resume!
    2. Check spelling and grammar by having a friend or family member read over the final copy
    3. Ensure it is under two pages in total
    4. No photos or dates of birth
    5. Don’t be vague (words like plenty and a lot can be replaced with organised or initiated)
